We are all guilty of the mindset of “I will ____ when ____”. A common is example of that within fitness is “I will be happy when I’m lean/toned/skinny/insert appearance-based goal” or “I’ll be confident when ______”.
But guess what?
That’s NOT how it works you guys!!! If we are constantly attaching our worth to an arbitrary appearance or feeling... we will never feel worthy!! And we will never be satisfied even IF we reach that original milestone. You have to understand that confidence and self-worth are part of the PROCESS and loving yourself is a prerequisite, not the end result❤️
Because here’s the real truth: Being leaner will NOT automatically *make* you more confident (I’ve experienced it first hand!)— that’s purely a mental shift that takes mental WORK, but it can happen at any shape or size. You owe it to yourself to become your most confident, fullest self RIGHT NOW. Not in 10 lbs, not at size 2, NOW.
The take-home:
🌟It’s absolutely great to have goals, but self worth and confidence are PART of the process, not a product of it, so stop WAITING for an arbitrary milestone and learn to love yourself first🌟
